**RULE 4: Slow, Deep Learning Is Best
Lisa learned a lot of Chinese words in a short time. Her learning was short and shallow. That’s why she quickly forgot the words. That’s why she could not use them.
The secret to speaking easily is to learn every word & phrase DEEPLY.
It’s not enough to know a definition. It’s not enough to remember for a test. You must put the word deep into your brain.
To speak Chinese easily, you must repeat each lesson many times.
You must learn Chinese deeply.
There is a saying in China: if you read a hundred times, its meaning will show itself.
Learn deeply, speak easily.
Learn deeply, speak easily.
How do you learn deeply? Easy– just repeat all lessons or listening many times. For example, if you have an audio book, listen to the first chapter 30 times before you go to the second chapter. You could listen to the first chapter 3 times each day, for 10 days.

我的一个学生叫Lisa，她来自纽约，她每天学很多汉字，但是却总是记不住，也不会说，很快就忘记了。
这是因为她学的太浅了，太表面了，没有形成深刻的印象，大脑总是记不住。同样的时间，专注学一课，比学习两课更效果更好。
中国有一句话：读书百遍，其义自现。
你要做的是，要集中精力，重复学习同一课，直到很了解，再学下一课。
比如第一课，每天重复3次，连续学习10天，再学第二课。
专注学习，提升深度，你会说的很容易。
