贸易战 trade war
Today, let’s talk about the impact of the US chip and science act on China.
In fact, the United States has long suppressed China’s chip industry, which can be seen from the sweater war in the past few years. The United States has repeatedly used chips to block China, which shows that chips are indeed China’s weakness at least for the time being. However, since the competition between China and the United States, our chips have also developed rapidly. There is no doubt that we can overtake at a certain time. Think about it. The technology of atomic bomb has not been realized by the Chinese.
The chip dismantling bill involves a total value of US $280 billion, of which US $52.7 billion will be used to subsidize the chip part, strengthen the semiconductor manufacturing in the United States, and restrict the flow of advanced technology to China, including the disconnection of supply to China in EDA. This combination of fists is really fierce. In order to strangle Chinese chip technology from the design, manufacturing, packaging and testing of high-end chips, it seems that there are many experts behind the United States. However, this bill is also full of contradictions.
In other words, American chip companies cannot distribute new chip research results to China. Chip manufacturers sacrifice their profits. How big is the Chinese market? Chip manufacturers are bleeding. However, the United States only provided subsidies of more than 50 billion yuan to manufacturers. Can manufacturers be happy? It’s like I slapped you twice and gave you a lollipop to comfort you. Chip manufacturers are not children. They are all capitalists. They can accept and give in to your arrogance in the short term. Besides, how many years can your subsidy be made up?
In addition, if chips are not exported to China, the production capacity of American manufacturers must be reduced. If it is transmitted to employees, they will be laid off and chip employees will lose their jobs. This is a bigger contradiction for the United States.
For China, the chips in the high-tech field may be restricted in the short term, and the high-end chip industry may be short of cores. For Chinese chip enterprises, especially those with technical cooperation, they may be in a technological vacuum.
In the long run, China’s chips must get rid of its dependence on the United States and must also get rid of the technological blockade.
First of all, the Chinese are very smart and can always make all kinds of impossible products. Moreover, the core of many technologies is invented by the Chinese or Chinese Americans. In the Silicon Valley of the United States, there are a large number of Chinese elites. Therefore, the most urgent task is to train talents in the chip industry. Colleges and universities should set up professional courses in chip technology to attract top chip elites from all over the world. As long as they are given the necessary treatment and respect, they will work for us.
Large chip funds need to increase investment, but they must also be supervised and have output. This is a virtuous cycle. We will increase investment and construction in the chip industry chain. The difficulty of core making lies in the lack of foundation in the whole industrial chain. In the final analysis, it is still a matter of money, technology and equipment. We should support all industrial chains.
Cooperation with other countries. The chip is by no means a patent of the United States. Anyone who has technology can do it. The more restricted it is by the United States, the more we need to find international partners to keep warm.
In a few years, the United States will pay for the foolish decisions they made in a moment of conflict. And China has also completely shaken off its dependence on the United States. When American chip manufacturers sell chips with excess capacity everywhere, it is the time when China’s chip industry takes off. Even before halfway through the process, the United States immediately changed its stupid policy and begged you to buy it with a 50% discount.
